On November 19th, the Carver Project and church partner, Chruch of St. Michael & St. George hosted the third-annual Faculty Forum, featuring Faculty Fellow and the Charles Allen Thomas Professor and Chair of Chemistry, Dr. Jen Heemstra. In an interview with Carver Project executive Director, Penina Laker, Jen shared stories of resilience, humility, a calling to leadership, and finding purpose. The discussion also featured Dr. Heemstra’s new book: “Labwork to Leadership,” a guide to leading with integrity in all areas of life and vocation!

This 2024 Faculty Forum featured three of the Carver Project's founding faculty fellows who published books in the last six months. John Hendrix (The Mythmakers), John Inazu (Learning to Disagree), and Abram Van Engen (Word Made Fresh) reflect on the Carver Project and how their recent book projects were borne out of shared mission and friendship.

On Friday, October 13, 2023, The Carver Project hosted its inaugural Faculty Forum event, featuring Gerald Early, the Merle Kling Professor of Modern Letters in the African and African American Studies Department at Washington University in St. Louis. The conversation was moderated by TCP Executive Director Abram Van Engen. The event was graciously hosted by the Church of St. Michael & St. George in Clayton, MO.
