Meri Marsh

Assistant Provost for Curriculum and Innovation and Professor of Geography, Lindenwood University

Meredith Marsh, PhD, is Assistant Provost for Curriculum and Innovation and Professor of Geography at Lindenwood University. She received her PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a behavioral geographer whose research focuses on the development of spatial thinking skills. She's specifically interested in how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can scaffold spatial learning in K-College educational settings, work that grew out of NSF-funded research with the Alexandria Digital Earth Prototype project at UCSB. Her scholarship has appeared in journals including the Annals of the American Association of Geographers and the Journal of Geography, and she was named the National Council for Geographic Education's Distinguished Teacher in Higher Education in 2016.
