Ginnie Abarbanell
Dr. Ginnie Abarbanell is an associate professor at the Washington University School of Medicine. She is a pediatric cardiologist with interests in quality improvement, post-graduate fellow education, cardio-neurodevelopment and fetal cardiology. She is co-director of the pediatric echocardiography laboratory at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and is involved in clinical outreach. She is dedicated to the education of the pediatric cardiology fellows and is involved with the Washington University School of Medicine Teaching Scholars program.
Dr. Ginnie Abarbanell originally grew up in rural America in Montana. She has a B.S. in nutrition from Cornell University and M.D. from the University of Washington in Seattle. She completed pediatric residency at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA and pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Prior to joining Washington University School of Medicine in 2017, she practiced in Indianapolis, IN and Atlanta, GA. She has been involved in research with the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) as well as clinical research in the areas of echocardiography and cardio-neurodevelopment. She has participated in overseas mission work with her husband Dr. Aaron Abarbanell to Honduras, Kenya and Togo.
